Know before you go

Desert driving

Ordinary cars must not enter the Tengger Desert. Park outside and use a locally rented 4WD for the Five-Lakes Crossing.

Homestay parking

Navigate only to the dedicated parking location supplied by Pikatu Homestay; do not follow an ordinary-car route deeper into the dunes.

Departure day

Leave JW Marriott at 10:00 sharp. Aim to reach Hedong Airport before 17:00 for the 19:15 flight.
